Life Journal - LIFE JOURNAL UPDATE
The “Life Journal” group will suspend their meetings for the summer. We encourage you to continue your readings and journal entries and we will be getting together when R.O.A.D. restarts in the fall to share and discuss the insights that we have gained. MORNING STAR CUB SCOUTS - Morning Star brings a new program to serve the children in our area, Cub Scouts. The Morning Star Cub Scout Pack is number 101. Our new pack is part of the Sunshine District in Las Cruces which is part of the Yucca Council in El Paso, TX. (http://www.yuccabsa.org).

REFRESHMENTS
As we continue to grow, we require larger quantities
of refreshments each Sunday morning for fellowship between our worship services. Our very willing volunteers serve faithfully, but the demand is getting to be more than many can manage. Therefore, we are asking for anyone who likes to bake to provide cookies, cakes, muffins, etc. that can easily be frozen until they are needed. If you would like to serve in this fellowship ministry, please call the church office.

We are pleased that the "Bilingual Reading Program" continues as a part of Lighthouse, with volunteer storytellers sharing with the kids by reading Spanish-language storybooks.

If you have a question or need help with a certain area of service at Morning Star where do you turn? On the bulletin board in the narthex, you will find a copy of all the committee chairs and members, so you will know to whom to address your concerns.

E-Mail Addresses Anyone who is serving at Morning Star in any capacity needs to be contacted occasionally for reminders of meetings, etc. As we have grown, it is so much more efficient for the office if we can send one e-mail reminder to a committee instead of making individual phone calls to people.
